If a hose often needs to be disconnected from a pressure reducing valve, it is very easy if an Ibeda quick coupling is built into the system. Primary connection is a 1\/4 r BSP gland with ball cone. The secondary connection is a plug-in grommet part for a gas grommet according to Iso.7289, usually for an 8mm hose. The Iso.7289 Ibeda quick couplings are such that the Iso couplings of all brands are interchangeable. The standard Ibeda Ibeda quick coupling (type 5004) is much cheaper and certainly of comparable quality. However, the standard Ibeda Ibeda quick coupling is not interchangeable with other brands of Ibeda quick couplings. Most pressure reducing valves for flammable gases in Western Europe have a 3\/8\"L connection.
