| Description | With MIG welding, work is sometimes interrupted 500 times a day. This causes an unwanted loss of the expensive shielding gas into the atmosphere when the weld is started. The gas saving device prevents a build-up of pressure in the welding torch and the supply hose. This results in a saving in gas consumption of up to 50%, depending on the frequency of welding interruptions. The savings can be very large, especially when making stitches and many short welds. The inlet of the gas saving device has a 1/4"R union and fits the outlet of most standard argon pressure reducing valves. The outlet is a hose adapter for a 6 mm hose. |
